DalZal Restauran           Tehran-Iran 2013

 

DalZal restaurant is located in 40Ketab Mall, an enture mall dedicated to books. The concept of the space design was to represent an authors mind, were mysterious games of lights and sounds are played in a semi dark space.

 

Each wall is dedicated to a differnet concept, from a huge clock addressing the concept of getting lost in time by reading books, to a portraits wall featured famous writers.

 

Details of copper were employed as an elemnt from which traditional persian culinary tools were made, also copper tubes host the cables in the exposed ceiling, and in details of tables and the bar. 

 

A number of special lighting fixtures were designed for the space, from the illuminant marble walls, to a chip-like system of tubes and rectangular lighting boxes.
